Clayburn has been in the refractory business since 1905. From our Head Office in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, our products and services are sold world-wide. The Clayburn Fireclay Company was established at Clayburn, BC, about 72 km east of Vancouver on the south side of the Fraser River. Fireclay was mined then, and still is today, from Sumas Mountain about 8 km from the original factory. Sumas Mountain still provides essential clays for our product. In 1948 the company's operations moved into Abbotsford, BC (about 5 km SW of the original plant) and the product line was extended.
